  1. Work across the three domains of education, research and service, and
  2. Have at least 1 substantive, current, long-term relationship with an international partner university in a LMIC country, and
  3. Span two or more schools* or departments/disciplines**

Membership Description Institutions/organizations that are current CUGH partners or potential partners that: Academic or research institutions from low- or middle-income countries with:
Membership Criteria Have programs with demonstrated support of the CUGH mission. A current partnership with one or more CUGH member institutions.

*** Partner Members include: Non-profit institutions; NGOs and; Professional groups and associations

Those who do not meet criteria or fit any membership category description may write a letter requesting membership to the Membership Committee of the Board. Exceptions will be made on a case-by-case basis.

Institutions that were members in good standing of the Global Health Education Consortium (GHEC) on December 31, 2011 and were not CUGH members in 2011, are invited to transfer their GHEC institutional membership to CUGH.
