Member Highlights: Tufts University
The Tufts University approach to global health is informed by scholars and students across the institution: Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine; Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy; Graduate School of Arts and Sciences; Jean Mayer USDA Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging (HNRCA); Sackler School of Graduate Biomedical Sciences; School of Arts and Sciences; School of Dental Medicine; School of Engineering; School of Medicine; The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy; and Tisch College of Citizenship and Public Service.
There are many opportunities for global health students and faculty to collaborate within schools and these partnerships have yielded impressive results, from creating a vaccine that eradicated rinderpest, a deadly livestock disease, to developing a "One Health" approach to identify and control zoonotic diseases with a multi-million dollar award from the USAID.
