The School of Public Health at University of Maryland, College Park offers a 12-credit post-baccalaureate Certificate in Global Public Health program for professionals and current students that prepares students to identify and analyze major health problems in a global society and to develop skills for designing targeted programs, interventions and campaigns to address those challenges. The SPH also sponsors the College Park Scholars - Global Public Health (GPH) program for first and second year undergraduate students to explore the conceptual and practical foundations of community health, investigate global public health challenges and consider ways to improve population health within diverse contexts. SPH formed Public Health Without Borders (PHWB), which features student-led projects that assess health disparities affecting disadvantaged communities around the world and creates sustainable interventions to alleviate these disparities.
