Share Your Stories from the Field

CUGH is seeking short, informative, powerful global health videos for our YouTube series, “Stories from the Field.”

An effective way to communicate and inspire change is through visual means. At CUGH, we are initiating a new project to do just that. We are inviting scientists and implementers to send us short videos showcasing effective programs and innovations that improve the health of people and our environment.

  • Videos must be kept under 5 minutes in length: focused, visually interesting, and powerful
  • Videos should appeal to people’s minds and emotions
  • Videos should be shot in the field or where the program/innovation/story is occurring (see New York Times’ guide on how-to take great video on an iPhone for filming tips)
  • If you would like to keep your video on your own YouTube channel, send the link to the video to with the subject line: “Stories from the Field.”

Alternatively, we can upload your video directly. To do so:

  • Add a short paragraph about the video with your submission. Please also consider including a contact for those who want to learn more about your project.
  • Send the original file in either .mp4 or .mov format to with the subject line: “Stories from the Field.”
  • We look forward to receiving your videos so we can share them globally.
