Global Health: Clinical and Community Care
This 3 week practical, multidisciplinary, case based, interactive course is open to all medical students in years 3-4 and primary care residents and physicians. Also open to other health care students, residents and graduates interested in preparing to serve in Low and Middle Income Countries of the world.
The Global Health Distinction Track
This academic program is open to medical students at the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Tucson.
Students are introduced to the interdisciplinary challenges of clinical and public health care in developing nations. Students will:
•Apply evidence-based medical knowledge in health care settings around the world
•Learn from colleagues and global health experts abroad
•Help to overcome obstacles in resource limited settings
Students involved in this track return better prepared to advocate for health equity and to provide care to patients and communities in the US, and around the world.
