Program description:

The Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) at AUB was established in 1954, as the first higher education institute of public health in the Arab world. FHS offers a Master of Public Health: concentrations in Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Health Promotion and Community Health, and Health Management and Policy. In 2016, FHS will initiate a certificate in Public Health in Conflict and Protracted Crisis. The Graduate Public Health Program (MPH/MS) is accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) and was the first such program to be accredited by CEPH outside the Americas in 2006. Through its Departments, Centers for Research on Population and Health (CRPH), Public Health Practice (CPHP), and Knowledge to Policy (K2P), FHS has been very active in tackling issues of disadvantaged, marginalized, and refugee populations. The social and political determinants of health and its centrality to global health is a clear theme in our instruction, research and professional practice.
