Doctor of Philosophy in Public Health, Global Health Joint Doctoral Program
The Joint Doctoral Program (JDP) in Public Health (Global Health), a collaborative degree program between the San Diego State University’s (SDSU) Graduate School of Public Health and the University of California, San Diego’s (UCSD) School of Medicine. The program is jointly overseen by an overall JDP Steering Committee and a Global Health Steering Committee. It is supported by a larger Global Health Faculty Group of interdisciplinary professionals from both institutions. Students in this program will complete course work and conduct research at both universities over a period of about four years. Faculty from each campus will serve on advisory and dissertation committees, providing the student with extensive exposure to experts with varied interests and proficiencies.
