Master of Science in Global Medicine

Program description:

The Master of Science in Global Medicine (MSGM) serves students interested in the impacts of health and wellness across the globe and exploring solutions for preventing or mitigating global health crises. In addition to the basic concepts of global medicine, students examine specific issues including malaria, tuberculosis, tropical diseases, HIV/AIDS, refugee healthcare, and maternal and child health. International course offerings grant students the opportunity to experience another culture and lifestyle while evaluating aspects of the health care, population health needs, and the differences between a host country’s systems and challenges and those of the United States. Students interested in pursuing careers in medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, physician assistant programs, law, healthcare administration, and health education, among other fields, pursue the degree.
