Kaiser Permanente Global Health Program
The Kaiser Permanente Global Health Program has affiliations with non-profits, foundations, and universities in 10 countries located in 3 continents. The program is designed to provide 4 week or longer volunteer global health experiences for medical student, medical resident and staff physician level providers in capacity building health care programs in multiple clinical specialties. Depending on the program site, our clinical opportunities run the spectrum from primary care in rural settings to tertiary care academic institutions in low resourced settings. No degree or certificate is conferred. However, a number health professionals have used their global health experiences as a component of training in a related field of study (fellowships, MPH).
